Change Explorer Icon in the Superbar

Here is a simple tutorial on how to change the icon (in the Superbar) of Explorer (on Windows 7 of course):

  1. Make a shortcut on the desktop (Right click -> New -> Shortcut)
  2. For the location of the item just write “explorer” (without the quotes)
  3. Set the label to “Explorer” (again, without the quotes)
  4. Change the Icon of the shortcut to whatever you want it to be (Right click -> Properties ->Shortcut Tab -> Change Icon) then click OK
  5. If you have Explorer already pinned to the Superbar, first unpin it
  6. Pin the new shortcut to the Superbar

And now you have Explorer (in the Superbar) with the Icon of your choice. It will be used by actual Explorer windows. Enjoy. 😀
